A highly interdisciplinary academic research group working on development of smart nano-materials for real world applications.
Baldycheva Lab has two main divisions:
Smart Composite Materials Laboratory focused on the development of new multi-functional materials for applications in smart coatings, E-textiles and liquid electronics
Opto-Electronic Systems Laboratory focused on the system level integration of novel nano-materials into CMOS photonics devices, and the engineering of the thin film flexible (opto-)electronic devices for applications in communications, computations, energy harvesting, bio-chemical sensing and artificial intelligence.
We are highly interdisciplinary research group with members from a variety of disciplines, such as Chemistry, Materials Science, Electronic Engineering, and Applied Physics. Our expertise ranges from theory, synthesise and characterisation of nano-composite materials to design, fabrication and testing of prototype devices and systems.
